March 17th Board Change
Engineers:
Board 501: Remain at 66
Board 511: Should add 5 to 48.
As info workforce support disputed the board change for Board 511 on March 10th as LR seems to flip-flop on our calculations every time a big add of turns is called for. We are working diligently with the GC office to resolve this issue.
Conductors:
Board 510: should cut 1 to 45
Board 600: should add 1 to 73

The board calculation by the union is suggested to the carrier for their approval. This change is not set in stone and can be changed at the carrier's discretion as long as it is within the agreed-upon window for that specific pool.
Short Pool:
Turns called on Alliance Board 501, Edgemont 201, Guernsey 411, Sterling 411, and any short pool engineers used on 801, are added together for the 15-day look-back period. This total is multiplied by 2 to give an average for 30 days. That number is then divided by 21 and 25 to establish the active start window for the pool. If the current number of turns is within the window there will be NO CHANGE for that week. If the number of turns is outside the window, there will be either an ADD or a CUT to get the number within the window. These changes will typically be made to the middle of the window, but not always.
Long Pool:
Turns called on Alliance board 511, off turn on 621, and all Non-PWS engineers called on Grand Island 101 are added up for the 15-day look-back period. This total is multiplied by 2 to give an average for 30 days. That number is then divided by 14 and 16 to establish the active start window for the pool. If the current number of turns is within the window there will be NO CHANGE for that week. If the number of turns is outside the window, there will be either an ADD or a CUT to get that number within the window. These changes will typically be made to the middle of the window, but not always.
