Engineers Extra Board and Low pool rest cycle rebids will be January 14th during the 0900 MT bid process. Make sure you have your bid sheet updated.

REBID CLAIM FOR ALL ENGINEERS

Previously, we had told the Carrier they were to rebid the rest cycles in accordance with the agreement. Due to the Carrier not complying with our instructions, we request you file the following timeslips.

From January 6th, 2025, until the Carrier rebids and assigns the 6/3 rest cycles, claim a basic day for the Carrier’s failure to re-bid the rest cycle assignments, depriving you of the predictability of my rest days and potentially depriving you of earnings. This is 01/06 through 01/13.

 Use the following verbiage on a 1B mishandling claim.

Claiming a 133.0 mile basic day on account of the 6/3 rest cycles were not bulletined 7 days in advance for rebid to be “effective” the first Monday in January 2026. Per the 6/3 rest cycle agreements for road and extra board, work-rest cycles will be advertised in three-month bid packs unless otherwise agreed to by BLET and BNSF. Bid packs will be effective on the first Monday of January, April July, and October. No agreement was made to delay the effective date of the three-month bid pack scheduled for the first Monday in January .

Again, as always, if the division wishes to opt out of the rebids please bring that to my attention and motion at the next meeting.
