We want to make you aware of a few insurance policies you are covered under.  We are providing you with this information to make sure these policies have the correct beneficiary information and are up-to-date, and so you can list these with any other policy information you have.

Railroad Provided Met Life Life Insurance Policy:

You may not be aware, but active railroad employees have a $20,000 life insurance policy through Met Life provided to them by their employer.  At retirement, employees are able to keep a $2,000 policy at no cost and may choose to convert the remaining $18,000 to a personal policy.

BLET Provides Accident Death & Dismemberment Insurance Policy though Cornerstone:

All active and retired BLET members are entitled to a $4,000 accidental death and dismemberment policy paid for by BLET.

To update a beneficiary for this policy, members can call Cornerstone's office at 847-387-3555 or they can update them online by visiting our website (unioninsurance.com), clicking on Resources, then clicking on “Change of Beneficiary” beneath Forms. I’ve also provided a hyperlink right to the form below.
