The board calculation by the union is suggested to the carrier for their approval. This change is not set in stone and can be changed at the carriers discretion as long as it is within the agreed upon window for that specific pool.
Short Pool:
Turns with short pool engineers called off Alliance board 501, 801, 60, 830, Edgemont 201, Guernsey 411, and Sterling 411 are added up for a 10 day period. This total is multiplied by 3 to give an average for 30 days. That number is then divided by 22 and 24 to establish the active starts window for the pool. If the current number of turns is within the window there will be a NO CHANGE for that week. If the number of turns is outside the window there will be either an ADD or a CUT to get the number within the window.
Long Pool:
Turns with long pool engineers called off Alliance board 511, 801, 60, 830, O turns on 621, and 6000 numbered turns on Ravenna 101 are added up for a 10 day period. This total is multiplied by 3 to give an average for 30 days. That number is then divided by 15 and 18 to establish the active starts window for the pool. If the current number of turns is within the window there will be a NO CHANGE for that week. If the number of turns is outside the window there will be either and ADD or a CUT to get that number within the window.
