Our Local Election Process will start by holding the nomination of Officers at this meeting.
Nominations for officers of our division will be held at the regular meeting on Thursday, September 5th, 2024.
Eligibility to be Elected
To be eligible for election to any office in a Local Union, a member must be in continuous good standing in the Local Union in which they are a member and in which they are seeking office, and be actively employed within the jurisdiction of such Local Union, for a period of twenty-four (24) consecutive months prior to the month of nomination for said office, and must be eligible to hold the office if elected.
Eligibility to Nominate
To be eligible to nominate a person to any office in a Local Union, a member must be in good standing in the Local Union, by having paid dues in the month proceeding the nomination meeting, in this case August 2024.
It is prohibited for a member to nominate, or second their own nomination.
A member should know beforehand if the person he or she wishes to nominate is both eligible and willing to serve.
Members are urged to verify their eligibility before nominations and election.
Written nominations can be made using the authorized form. Forms are available by contacting Secretary Neil Burri.
As ST, I will verify the eligibility of all members who nominate, second, and/or run for local division office, and shall verify the eligibility of any member at that member’s request.
One final note, if you have recently moved, changed your phone number, or email address, please get us the information so we can update our records.
